Age Appropriate Skin Care

Lifestyle factors that can speed the rate of aging skin include smoking, use of tanning beds, and sun exposure. Freckles in young children are evidence of sun damage. In fact, the amount of sun you got as a child has a lot to do with your skin's appearance today. Genetics play a factor in aging as well, but now there are ways to fight back.

1. 20's: Wear suscreen. This should be a staple for all age groups. Cleanse and moisturize.
2. 30's: Fine lines and wrinkles start to appear. One way to improve skin tone and texture is to look for products containing retinol and alpha-hydroxy acids.
